I have created several intranet projects. Below are descriptions of the sites and how
they were implemented.
Bugs Online
- Bugs Online is a push content channel that delivers the latest information to the
Product Support team. Any support representative could view the latest bugs found in the
software or even add an item to the list. Bugs Online took advantage of Microsoft's Active
Desktop and delivered a new version every hour. In order to keep the desktop component
interesting and fun, the look of the site changed for holidays and different seasons.
Project Eggplant
- Project Eggplant was the code-name for the research into new products I was doing as a
Product Design Analyst. A lot of the research was done via the web. It was a natural
extension to create an intranet site to serve as a reservoir of reports and studies, as
well as a jumping off point to the web sites that were sited in the research.
6.0 Online
- 6.0 is the next version of software Amiable Technologies, Inc. is going to release. In
order to better distribute timely information to people throughout the company the 6.0
Online intranet site was created. As the project moved from inception to completion the
intranet site grew from a site of engineering specifications to one that included
marketing materials, sample files and even training materials.
Art-a-facts
- Art-a-facts grew out of a conversation I had with a co-worker regarding all the
shortcuts and tricks I knew, and that it would be good if I could share them. So
Art-a-facts was born. A site composed of shortcuts and tricks to getting the most out of
the applications we used everyday.
